Senior Account Manager — Chicago, IL

Responsibilities

The Senior Account Manager role is responsible for managing successful relationships with strategic clients. The role is responsible for the delivery of email-marketing programs that meet business needs and oversees timely and cost-effective implementation of those programs.

Additionally, the role supports an email management team who will coordinate the day-to-day production, scheduling and delivery of email. The Senior Account Manager contributes to their success to best serve the clients.

This position works in a consultative fashion to advise clients of email marketing and technical best practices, and to provide strategic and tactical program guidance. The Senior Account Manager manages enhancements to the client programs, including data integrations, new programs, and new technologies. The work will be informed by robust qualitative and quantitative analysis and communicated through conference calls, meetings and formal presentations. This individual will drive regular internal and external account reviews and continually evaluate the effectiveness and profitability of clients' marketing programs.

Finally, the job includes recommending and implementing additional infoUSA database marketing solutions (online & offline) in order to support strategic client goals.

Experience

  • 6+ years experience in direct marketing, database marketing, interactive marketing, customer service.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and data analysis
  • Desire to work directly with clients and build long-term relationships
  • Ability to manage client profitability
  • Proven project management skills
  • Technically literate and comfortable working with Internet technologies and database structures, and desire to build technical knowledge
  • Ability to quickly grasp the issues and develop solution-oriented recommendations
  • Great team player, know when to lead and when to follow
